| Gypsy Moth IV fits Sea-me |
 |
Sunday 25 September 2005
Gipsy Moth IV has set sail from Plymouth on the first leg of her round the world voyage to Gibraltar. Rescued by the inspired Paul Gelder, Editor of Yachting Monthly, and the United Kingdom Sailing Academy, Gipsy Moth IV has been beautifully restored by Camper and Nicholson. Whilst the original detail has been followed as closely as possible the most modern safety equipment available has been used. In this vein Gipsy Moth IV has been fitted with the Sea-me Radar Target Enhancer which she carries at her masthead. To track her progress go to www.ybw.com/ym/gipsymoth.
This was not supplied by Munro Engineering as a marketing exercise but was specified and purchased by the restoration team.
