The Sea-me Radar Target Enhancer is an ACTIVE system which receives a radar signal, amplifies it and re-transmits it. This ensures a stronger return signal and a more even strength around the full 360° azimuth.

For masthead fitting we recommend that you use a Glomex V9173 stand-off bracket. This takes the Sea-me antenna about 25cms away from the mast and out of the way of the other equipment at the masthead.

Sea-me's new anti-collision plotter helps remove some of the anxiety behind hand plotting. Featuring a rotating transparent disc with range rings and a compass scale, the position of a target vessel relative to your boat is plotted directly onto the disc in chinagraph pencil. An appropriate time later, a second plot is made and the points joined. If the vessel is making a straight course, the distance between this line and the centre of the disc will give the closest point of approach (CPA) The relative course of the target vessel can also be read against the backing grid by moving the first point back along the course parallel to your own by the distance you have travelled in the elapsed time. This removes the effect of your own vessel's motion, effectively 'stopping' the boat.

The CSB200 is a low cost AIS transponder, designed specifically for the Leisure Marine and Fishing Boat market. It meets the new Class "B" standard that allows vessels that are not required to fit Class "A" units to voluntarily fit an AIS transponder. It enables boats sailing in busy shipping lanes to automatically transmit their current position, course and speed to other vessels and shore stations within VHF range.
Connected to a compatible on board PC running a Navigation Program, or Chart Plotter, information received from other vessels or shore stations can also be displayed on screen giving the skipper or navigator a visual interpretation of the name, position, course and speed of vessels within VHF range. This information is updated every 3 seconds to 6 minutes depending on speed and rate of turn, enabling the track of the vessels in range to be plotted.
